Community Grants


At Mildura Workers, sport is a vital part of community life. Local sporting clubs bring people together, build teamwork, and give all ages a place to belong — and we’re proud to support them.

As a long-standing community club, Mildura Workers gives back to the region every month through our Community Grants Program, with a strong focus on helping local sporting clubs and not-for-profit organisations continue the great work they do. Backing Grassroots Sport in Our Region. From junior teams to senior competitions, volunteers and committee members work tirelessly to keep local sport going. Our Community Grants Program exists to help ease that burden and provide meaningful support where it’s needed most.


Grants are available to assist sporting clubs with things like:

·Equipment and uniforms

·Facility improvements and maintenance

·Training programs and development initiatives

·Participation and inclusion programs

·Community sporting events and competitions

By supporting local sport, we’re investing in healthier lifestyles, stronger connections, and a more vibrant Mildura community.


Types of Support Available

Support through the Community Grants Program may include:

·Cash donations

·End-of-Month Raffle Donation $2000

·Club vouchers

·Sponsorship support

·In kind support

All applications are assessed on their community benefit, with priority given to local sporting and active community groups.


How to Apply

Applying is simple:

1. Download and complete the Community Grants Application Form

2. Submit your application by email communitygrants@milduraworkers.com.au  or in person at the Club reception

All grant decisions are made locally by the Board of the Mildura Workers, people who understand the importance of sport in our region and the impact it has on individuals, families, and the wider community.


All applications must be received by the 15th of each month to be reviewed at that month’s Board meeting. Late submissions will be tabled the following month

Grants Program

For Junior Sporting Groups and Youth Organisations


Receive funding through the Mildura Workers Countdown Club membership program. Every Countdown Club membership received will go directly back into the community to support youth in sports. 


How it works:

  • Applications will be assessed by our Board and approved.
  • Joining the Countdown Club, members will be able to select a recipient for their donation from a list of approved local organisations.
  • Applications are only accepted for junior sporting groups and not for profit organisations supporting youth. 
  • All requests to the grants program must complete the Workers application form

Community Contribution Fundraisers


Mildura Working Man’s Club is proud of its community contributions. To help us support more charities and organisations we will be donating $2,000 plus customer donations during our raffle ticket sales on the last Friday of each month to a local charity or non for profit community group. If you are apart of a non for profit organisation, group or charity and think this initiative would be beneficial, we want to hear from you. Please contact us for more information.
